Rectangular Heater Batteries

KALORIC Air Heaters fitted with Stainless Steel Sheathed Rod Elements are mounted on a detachable terminal plate which is screwed on to the heater unit.

Special Heater Batteries are being produced for use with AIR HANDLING and VAV equipment to customers' own requirements.

The casings are formed from galvanised or stainless steel sheet and are provided with flanges at both open ends. MEZZ and special flange connections are also available to customers' requirements. The duct flanges can be supplied drilled to suit customers' counter flanges.

For servicing and inspection purposes the detachable terminal plate with the fitted elements can be withdrawn without affecting the duct connections. The dimensions and design of the ducts are subject to customers' specifications.

The elements are normally arranged in hairpin loops or grids, allowing thermal expansion which can take place easily and without stress. The heaters can be arranged for step control, single or three phase. The standard terminal box is 100mm high and is provided with a 25mm conduit entry hole.

The Heater Batteries are supplied as a standard fitted with a manual reset thermal cut-out for protection against overheating.

They are also available with Auto and Probe cut-outs, which can be supplied fitted with a third terminal suitable for connection to light and sound alarm if required. The standard disc type single phase cut-out has a carrying capacity of 15 amps at 240 volts.

Loadings exceeding the above have to be wired in the coil circuit of a contactor. In case of 3 phase supply the cut-out has to be connected in line with the single phase coil or a 3 phase contactor.

When installed Heater Batteries should be supported so that their weight is not transmitted to ductwork and can be easily removed for cleaning or renewal purposes without disturbing the adjacent ductwork.

Heater batteries are manufactured in ANY LOADING and NUMBER OF STEPS. INSERTION and SPECIAL DUCT HEATERS are available to suit customers' requirements.

The elements are supplied in a wide variety and tailor made to suit operating conditions and individual applications.

These appliances must be earthed and be wired and fitted to comply with the latest I.E.E. Regulations.

When ordering, state duct size, total load, number of steps, voltage, phase, air volume, entering and leaving air temperatures.
